If not using the device for extended periods:

  1. Remove batteries — Prevents leakage and corrosion
  2. Full charge first — If using rechargeable batteries
  3. Recharge periodically — Every 6 months to maintain battery health
  4. Use carrying case — Protects from dust and physical damage
  • Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior
  • Remove dust and fingerprints regularly
  • Dry thoroughly before storage

The laser window and reception lens require careful cleaning:

  1. Blow off loose dust — Use compressed air or gentle breath
  2. Use lens tissue — Optical-grade cleaning tissue only
  3. Gentle circular motion — Work from center outward
  4. Lens cleaning solution — If needed, use optical lens cleaner
